Wanderlust first appeared on the jazz scene in 1991 and quickly established a profile as an exciting and innovative group. Their music is fresh and original combining jazz improvisation with the diverse rhythms and melodies of global music. Led by Miroslav Bukovsky, long recognised as one of Australia’s best trumpeters and composers, Wanderlust has attracted international attention resulting in appearances at many of the major European jazz festivals. This debut CD ‘Wanderlust’ won the Best Jazz Album ARIA award in 1994.

When In Rome is Wanderlust's fifth album released in 2008. This recording of the band's second appearance since 1996 at the jazz festival at the famous Villa Celimontana captures the wonderful atmosphere and connection between the band and the audience. This jazz festival, staged in the gardens of one of the great Roman villas, runs every summer and features jazz groups from all over the world. The result is Wanderlust's first live album.

Tim Shaw’s solo performances have become Sydney live venue legend, frequently playing to capacity audiences. On catching Tim’s performance David Bowie remarked Tim was the best solo act he’d seen. Tim’s performances cover a wide range of musical genres, from ballads and pub singalongs to plenty of up tempo Rock n’ Roll, including his own originals. He’s played and jammed with many stars including: Aaron Neville, Neville Brothers, Daryl Braithwaite, Tommy Emmanuel, Jackie Orszaczky and many more. In 2010, Tim released this version of Sam Cooke's classic "Change Is Gonna Come".

Rollinson, Zwartz and Stuart have each contributed to the Australian music scene over many years, notably, but not solely, in jazz. Rollinson is perhaps best known as the guitarist and a composer in DIG (Directions in Groove) and a past member of the Vince Jones band. Zwartz has graced many projects (Tina Harrod, Barney McAll, Pharoah Sanders), and is one of the most highly regarded bass players in this part of the world. Stuart has been the drummer in bands as diverse as Jackie Orszaczky, Ian Moss, The Catholics, to name just a few.

Smith and Bruer Band is a collaboration between Canadian guitarist Tony Smith and Australian saxophonist Jason Bruer.
