| The dynamic dreadlocked showman is back again from Africa to blow you away with his unique blend of Afro-fusion, Reggae, Afro-percussion and lots more. Afro Moses is a multi-award winning, Australia-based artist from Ghana, West Africa. He is a singer, composer, multi-instrumentalist and teacher with a magnetic personality who has enchanted people with his high energy music, powerful messages, showmanship and colourful stage shows around the world.
Afro Moses plays traditional African instruments, for example, the kora, mbira, gonde, talking drum, balafon, and blends them with modern grooves and technology to create a fusion of hot rhythms you can’t resist dancing to! A tasty blend of Afro-beats, reggae, funk, jazz, raga, salsa, percussion, traditional vocals and more.
Afro Moses performs with Australian musicians who originate from Ghana, Senegal, Guinea, New Zealand, USA, Brazil, Jamaica and more. He has also graced the stage with international artists including The Wailers, Michael Franti, Youssou N’Dour, Angelique Kidjo and Ziggy Marley. Afro Moses has also composed and performed two film soundtracks with Richard Tognetti, Artistic Director of the Australian Chamber Orchestra, including the 2003 Oscar nominated short film ‘Inja’. Afro Moses has performed at private parties hosted by the President of Ghana and was awarded Ghana's Best International Music Ambassador in 2000 and 2002.
